About A Tire & Wheel

Located at 2404 Hancock Expy, Colorado Springs, CO 80910, A Tire & Wheel operates as a wheel and rim shop serving Colorado Springs in Colorado. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as tire repair shop, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

Tire shops sell and install new tires, patch punctures, balance wheels and, at most locations, align the suspension. Prices are quoted per tire plus mounting, balancing, valve stems and a state disposal fee for the old set; many shops price-match and include free rotation and flat repair for the life of the tire. Used tire shops sell inspected take-offs for a fraction of the price of new ones, useful for an older car or a single replacement, but check the tread depth (4/32 inch or more) and the DOT date code, since rubber ages even on the shelf. Mobile tire services come to your driveway or the roadside, commercial shops handle semi, trailer, farm and off-road tires, and wheel shops repair and refinish bent or curb-scraped rims.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. Typical hours are 8 am–6 pm. Note that it does not open on Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach A Tire & Wheel at (719) 633-0929; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.7 out of 5 from 240 reviews, which is a strong result for a wheel and rim shop in Colorado Springs and suggests consistent service.

This shop almost killed my boyfriend! He went there and replaced the tires on his truck the beginning of October. On November 11th, he was driving down the highway and FIVE OF THE SIX LUG NUTS ON THE DRIVER SIDE FRONT TIRE SHEARED OFF!!! They overtightened the lugs on the driver side front wheel on his truck and fractured FIVE of the six lug nuts on that tire. He was going SIXTY-FIVE MPH when the lugs sheared off!!! We took the truck to my trusted mechanic and they gave me an estimate of almost $600 because the entire wheel has to be replaced. We contacted the shop AND showed them the damage THEY caused and they are not even trying to help fix the problem. They REFUSE to return our phone calls, no matter how many times we try. We have gone to see them and showed one of their mechanics the damage that was caused and he contacted the owner. He told us the owner would call us back and we have not received any phone calls. I have called multiple times and either receive no answer, or am told the owner will be in within the hour and will call me back. Do not take your vehicles here because even if they are negligent and could have possibly killed you, they don't care and won't even try

I went in needing two tires replaced, the gentlemen there were extremely helpful. They got my tires put on almost immediately, and it was super affordable. I would definitely recommend this place!

These guys are great. I needed tires on my 2015 Nissan sedan and had to go to Denver that afternoon but my direct deposit doesn't come through until after lunch and I spoke with Manny and was able to pay a great price for 2 tires and give him half and my card information for the other half later on when my check went into my account. These guys are great when it came to pricing and customer service. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs tires used or new! I'm having all 4 of my Tundra's tires replaced here next week. Can't thank These guys enough!
